And I wonder...

So it's been awhile since I posted any of the results my mad photo skills, so I thought I would show some of the new things in my life that I really dig.




First up is a little diorama I made...perhaps still-life or even 'window display' is the better term...

Del Shannon. Shit. I'm pretty sure that "Runaway" is the best rock song ever. There are some possible arguments..."shoot you in the back" by Motorhead comes to mind, as do things like "You are nothin'" by the Hellacopters or "Hey Joni" by Sonic Youth. But I think Del takes it. 2:21 of pure bliss...and what is that instrument playing lead??? I think it's an organ...

Next: The various tools of my trade- the yellow kettlebell just got here, and it's really, really yellow. I like it. The blue ones are pretty sweet, but not nearly as yellow...The yoga ball, foam roller, and trusty hackey-sack are all, I think, self explanatory. Mainly I'm getting really experienced at rehab. Actually I just put the hack there to offend Greg. The Stick is AWESOMENESS in fiberglass and plastic....if you have pain in your legs, this thing rocks. The mini jumpstretch band I mainly use for stretching (duh, it's rubber band!) but you can use it to put some savage recoil on the kettlebells...

Last: my new shoes. Aren't they fine? They are beautiful like a basket of plague rats catapulted over the walls of your enemies' stronghold: crude, but effective. I'm kinda sad that they really can't be worn to say, walk in. They are lifting specific shoes, and not exactly comfortable. The utter lack of give in the soles is kind of a shame as I really think they could be the new cool accessory. I knew they were cool when they came shipped in a bag. Not even a shoe bag. Just a plastic UPS bag. I bet they arrived at Wichita Falls Weightlifting (where I got them from) in a giant box. I think they rock. Sadly, they were out of the blue suede ones in my size.
